Crochet Hipster Tote

I finished this Hipster Tote from Vintage Crochet just after Christmas.

I was having some problems working out the pattern for the base, so I took it home with me to the UK on my last next visit. Mum saved the day and helped me to work it out, thanks Mum!

The next task was to seam the two sides together. This is not my favourite part of any project but as luck would have it Mum had her linking machine out so we thought we’d have a go and see if it could do the seaming for us instead.

We weren’t 100% percent sure it would work as the yarn is quite chunky, but with a little bit of juggling we managed to seam it up without too many problems.

I just need to work out what straps I want to put on it now. In the book they use pre-made fabric straps. I have some yarn left over so i’m thinking about making some out of that instead.
