Hotel Absheron Demolition ~ Update Azerbaijan | (1)
They are making good progress with the Hotel Absheron demolition, all of the room floors have been removed now. They are currently in a big concrete pile on the floor which they have started to clear away. Note the digger in the background of the picture below, i'm not sure what it is balancing on?! If you look closely at the picture below you can see the side of a yellow digger. This one had a bit of an accident. A Surprise Visitor Azerbaijan | (1)
Mr stitchitch sent me these pictures of a surprise visitor at the entrance to the Terminal where they work. I like the added texture it gives to the pattern.

One of the things I like about Baku is the weather, especially during the summer months when you can pretty much guarantee sunshine every day. It rarely rains here but occasionally a thick fog creeps in across the bay and everything goes eerily white. I took these pictures no more than 5 minutes apart today, normally we can see right across the bay.

Cute Owl Mittens Knitting | (2)
I came across the cutest owl mittens pattern on Ravelry yesterday and I had to make them! I decided to use some of the yarn we dyed at a friend's yarn party recently. It haven't used double pointed needles in a while and I need a bit more practice to keep my tension even but all in all i'm happy with how the first mitten has turned out. On to the next... :O)
